Taiwanese electronics device manufacturers, Huawei seems more incentive to expand. The company that won the third-largest smartphone market share according to IDC's recently announced plans to expand into the African continent.

Reported by the BBC, Huawei today announced a partnership with Microsoft in a program titled 4Afrika. As part of this program, Huawei will release a smart phone based on Windows Phone 8 opreasi system, named Huawei 4Afrika. Plan, this phone will be released in Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Angola, Morocco, and South Africa.

Based on information from the site Unwired View, smart phones launched by Huawei is a modification of the Huawei Ascend W1 which was first introduced at CES ago. This smart phone has the technical specifications in the form of a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels, dual-core Snapdragon processor with a speed of 1.2 GHz, resolution 5 MP rear camera, front camera, and a storage capacity of 4 GB. This step seems to be Microsoft's strategy to enter markets that are still untouched by the two giants of the mobile operating system Android and iOS. In an interview with the BBC, Gustavo Fuchs, director of Microsoft's Windows Phone division in the Middle East and Africa, said, "if you look at the penetration of [smart phones] at this time, compared with the United States and Europe that have been in the 50% range, [penetration smart phones] new African approaching 10%, even less than that in some areas ".

What price will be given to Huawei 4Afrika this? Based on information reported by the website of The New York Times, the phone will be priced at 150 dollars. Interesting to see how the acceptability of pricing strategies in the smart phone market will Africa.
